After a serious back injury in 1992, Satwinder Sran began a period of intensive study with Yogi Bhajan, Master of Kundalini Yoga, in New Mexico. Renewed, she vowed to make Kundalini Yoga part of her lifestyle. Born in India, she has the values of India, yoga and the teaching of India's spirituality innate in her upbringing.
She has been working for Alberta Health Services for the last 20 years and has been teaching Kundalini Yoga for over 18 years, and is certified in Children’s Yoga called “Radiant Child” Levels 1-3. Satwinder has taught numerous workshops in Winnipeg, Lloydminster, Edmonton and area on Stress and Anxiety, Insomnia, Inner Vitality, Healthy Breast, Diet and Eating Habits, Divine Goddess, etc., and holds weekend retreats on a yearly basis at the Sanctum Retreat Center. She has been teaching the chronic pain patient population since 2007 at the University of Alberta Hospital for the Multidisciplinary Pain Clinic. She has presented talks on Yoga and Cancer, and Yoga for Insomnia for the Complementary and Alternative Medicine at the U of A hospital, and for the Arthritis society of Alberta and NWT on the benefits of Yoga.
